Mental Health Internship Training Director *

Responsible for oversight, including the administrative and clinical functions, of the American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited doctoral psychology internship program.
Involved in all aspects of the internship programs design, creation, and implementation per APPIC guidelines.
Provide clinical services and clinical supervision using doctoral-level knowledge, skills, and attitude to perform and provide supervision of research and scholarly inquiry, assessment, intervention, consultation, communication and documentation, professional identity development, and individual and cultural differences.
Oversee and monitor clinical services provided by trainees in the programs they serve in collaboration with site psychologists.
Coordinate with mental health managers to ensure efficient and effective operations in regional mental health clinics.
Participate in site-specific, regional, and organization-wide initiatives and projects.
Provide supervision and patient care as needed to support quality of patient experience at Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation.
Accountable for working with relevant leadership/stakeholders to establish and track metrics for performance and successful completion of internship.

Provide operational execution and administrative leadership for the postdoctoral residency and APA-accredited doctoral psychology training program for the Foundation
Provide clinical supervision and direct clinical care
Represent the regional training program at the site, regional, and national level through leadership at Hazelden Betty Ford FoundationRequired Qualifications

D.
in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
Licensed Psychologist in the state currently practicing
Two or more years providing clinical supervision
Minimum of 3 years of prior clinical experience in a direct care capacity
Well-defined psychotherapeutic and supervisory theoretical orientation that is based on research with broad-based knowledge of current clinical theory and practice.

Experience in psychological assessment and differential diagnosis, individual therapy, group therapy
Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with technology and computer skills to document in an electronic health record system, attend virtual meetings, and manage Outlook emails and calendars
Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to intervene decisively, when necessary, to protect patient safety
Ability to set appropriate personal and professional limits for best practice
Ability to support research collaborations as appropriate and clinically relevant
Cultural competency to serve diverse patient and supervise population.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with patients with substance use disorders
Two or more years leadership experience, training, leading projects, etc.
