Responsibilities
Responsible for processing and reconciling all patient payment activity for the organization. Will also provide support for staff throughout the organization with regard to deposits made at other sites.
Process all patient payments according to our policies and procedures with a very high level of accuracy and efficiency. This process applies to a multitude of payment methods.
Reconcile daily patient payment activity.
Reconcile the various non-patient and insurance company recoupment accounts.
Keep process documentation up to date.
Qualifications
Required:
1 year experience with medical insurance and claims
Associates degree in accounting or 3 years equivalent experience
Proficiency with Microsoft office, with high-degree of comfort working in Excel and Word
Computer and general office equipment experience
Preferred:
2-3 years experience in an EHR software system
Compass experience preferred



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
