Responsibilities
The communications specialist conceptualizes, writes and produces materials, content and assets that: engage and inform employees, support the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation as a best place to work, and build the Foundation's brand of healing and hope. The external communications focus is on managing, writing and posting social media ads and this person also provides assistance as-needed to the marketing copywriter in developing promotional content for external campaigns, collateral and digital/web messaging.
Internal Communications
Work with internal clients across the organization to continually identify timely and compelling story ideas for corporate intranet and social media platforms.
Act as an internal communications partner for senior management, human resources leadership and subject matter experts, assisting with message development, presentations and scripts.
Develop and manage the Foundation's intranet communications calendar and content, balancing input from key stakeholders across the Foundation.
Produce content?both original writing and as the editor of content provided by subject matter experts.
Contribute to and collaborate on multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Write internal communications materials as assigned and work collaboratively with project managers, copywriters, editors, designers and web team.
Photograph or videotape Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation events and employees as needed for communications.
Understand, translate and champion Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation's brand guidelines across internal communication channels.
Copyedit and proofread a variety of internal communications and marketing materials, ensuring that content reflects the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation's brand guidelines.

External Communications
Write, post and work with digital team colleagues to produce social media for human resources and other business partners as needed
Execute an integrated and aggressive social media strategy to support overall customer engagement, community growth and marketing objectives in the social arena.
Maintain or build external social network communications on multiple platforms like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn using social media management tools such as Sprout and Bambu.
Write, post and promote content that encourages audience engagement.
Consult with the internal marketing social strategy team to propose, implement and manage innovative ideas/promotions to drive greater relevance and engagement, and grow external communities.
Recommend new social media tools, sites and applications as part of the social media mix.
Ensure that Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation's spokespersons are engaged in social media and receive content support to maintain and update their LinkedIn? and Twitter? accounts.
Monitor, evaluate and manage online chatter to effectively reflect the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation brand, provide positive exposure and respond to comments.
Ensure that Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation's spokespersons are engaged in social media and receive content support to maintain and update their LinkedIn? and Twitter? accounts.
Assist the marketing creative copywriter with content development for marketing collateral and web content, including external communications such as newsletters, direct mail, advertising and emails as needed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, or 6 years of relevant experience in journalism/copywriting
2+ years' experience in digital/social media communications using multiple platforms and social media management tools: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Bambu, Sprout. This includes managing, writing and posting social media ads.
Understands how to drive business through social media
Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in communications and/or marketing
Experience in creative copywriting for both internal and external audiences across all marketing platforms: social media, web, email, newsletters, etc.
Experience with Microsoft products, Office 365, Word MS as well as Adobe PDF, Photoshop, Workfront



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
