Responsibilities
The role of the Managed Care Coordinator is to assist in completion of non-clinical components of the Managed Care workflow. The Managed Care Coordinator will work in partnership with the National Managed Care team to assist in pre-certifications prior to admission, faxed authorization and other administrative functions of the Managed Care Specialist role.
Assist in completing non-clinical Insurance Authorizations
Assist in administrative functions of the Managed Care Department
Complete accurate and timely documentation in the EHR.
Communicate timely and clearly with clinical team and others.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
High School or equivalent
Must be age 18 or older
Ability to work in a team environment
Minimum of 1 year of prior office experience
Ability to navigate multiple electronic resources internally and externally
Ability to manage large amounts of time sensitive documentation while maintaining privacy and confidentiality to the fullest.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor's degree
One year working in a chemical dependency treatment setting
One year experience working with insurance

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
